What Does Successor In Title Mean?

Successor in title, a term commonly used in relation to restrictive covenants and easements, means the successive owners of the titled land are bound by the said agreement.

Depending on the tenure of title this may be time limited, for example if a covenant is within the lease, this covenant may not be repeated in the freehold, meaning upon expiry of the Lease, the covenant will no longer exist.
