What is the difference between a title Register and Title Deeds?
Since the year 2000 and much earlier in many counties, compulsory registration began. A property must become registered if any of the actions described HERE take place.
The title register is the document that results from registration of the land, it should contain all the details, agreements and covenant that are contained within the conveyance and transfer documents held by the current owner.
Your Title deeds, both in registered and unregistered land are the series of transfers, conveyances, agreements mortgages etc. When the property becomes registered all detail from these deeds are recorded in the Title Register. Many of the original title deed documents are kept on file after the property is registered however if they are very simple, basic or repetitive, there is no requirement as all their detail will be recorded in the title register.
